After four years of undergraduate studies in Instrumentation
and Control Engineering, I can assure that it was a good decision to choose  this field of engineering as my career option
as it has released the most matter-of-fact approach to approach  the industry related complications by me. This
also played a vital role in my growth as it has also motivated me to opt for masters
and contribute to the field through purposeful research. I sincerely believe that

My decision to major in instrumentation and
control engineering  is a direct result
of my desire to contribute to the development of industrial systems  in my country because undergraduate
education study have taught me that engineering is as much as an art as it is a
science. . Engineering
study is to convey information and knowledge as well as it lays emphasis on the
overall growth of the individual.

 

During
my under graduation in Instrumentation and Control Engineering at Sardar Vallabhbhai
Patel Institute of Technology, Vasad, Gujarat, besides expanding the range of my knowledge, it has
given me valuable insight into practical aspects of study. It gave me the
knowledge of fundamentals of instrumentation and control especially in the
field Control System Design, Power Electronics, Electronic Devices and Circuit,
Digital Logic Circuit, Industrial  Measurement
,Circuits & Network , Analog signal processing and Biomedical
instrumentation . I am fully familiarized with all these subjects. I am
familiar with programming languages like MATLAB & Simulink, LABVIEW &
Siemens’ software for PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), SCADA & Control
Builder F for Distributed Control System as well as the new upcoming Prosthetic
concept in biomedical field.

 

 

As a part of
course curriculum, I have worked on various projects related to my subjects. As
one of my project in second year I used 8051 Microcontroller for interfacing DC
motor both clockwise and counterclockwise directions. My design engineering
project was based on solar sensors.It was focused to increase the efficiency of
solar panels using Maximum Power Point Tracking Theory. My third year project
was on PLC based in which forward and reverse 3 phase motor control had been
done using PLC. My final year project is on ‘Controlling of Wireless Gesture
Controlled Robotic Arm’ .In this project we 
have used Atmega-16 microcontroller ,wireless radio frequency module, servo
motors,power-supply circuit and mechanical assembly of arm.In this project we
match the data on the receiver side and the transmitted data from the operating
side via a radio frequency module supporting a range of up to 100 meters.

 

Apart from
academics activities in school & college , I was also active in  outdoor activities. I got 3rd rank
in project presentation in 7th semester.I also got 1st
rank in seminar presentation in my class .I have  also served as an event volunteer in the
national level technical symposium ‘PRAKARSH’ and in VISION(Intra college
technical symposium) consistently from second year till the last year organized
at my college. In my second year I was the event co-ordinator in the event called  ‘Robotics’.In the third year I was the event
head of the same the event.In the fnal year also I was in the advisory
committee of the ‘Robotics’ event.

 

 

 I often read the leading journals about powerand
digital systems. This Electronic System Engineering covers almost every subfields
such as Power Electronics, Embedded System, Digital Electronics, Signal
Processing which are same as my undergraduate subjects which develops an  interest in me to take up my career for M.Eng
in “Electronic System Engineering”. My course work on related subjects, at
undergraduate level had just enhanced my keen for this subject and thereby I
have decided to pursue my M.Eng Electronic System Engineering . My other areas of
interest are Control Sytem, Programmeable Logic Controller,Distributed Controll
System, Biomedical Instruments and Automation.

 

 

Sharing  about my family, my father is a Production
Manager in a company called SAFECO HYGIENE PVT LTD located in Manjusar GIDC in
Gujarat and my mother is a house wife .My parents are hardworking, dedicated
and ethical. They have introduced me with same virtues of integrity and ethics.
They have  always  encouraged me to fulfill  my dreams and life goals. They are backbone
of my life.

 

 

Thus, armed with the much-valued consent
and guidance from my HOD and  professors,
discussion with my seniors and careful study of the web pages of your
University, I am convinced that my academic career will receive the
much-required magnification enabling me to pursue considerable  research and excel at it.I
have gone through your publications and website very carefully and I concluded
that with we have similarity in the field of interest, so University of Regina  will provide a perfect environment to focus
all my resources towards M.Eng program. Not only high
reputation attract me, but also does the subjects and the on-going researches
by renowned faculties.I want to enhance my skills in this field under your
tutelage.

 

My
undergraduate curriculum has enabled me to clear my basic fundamentals; and now
I want to increase the attained knowledge through a Master’s course at the University
of Regina at CANADA.The main reason by which I have took the  decision to pursue graduate studies in CANADA
is the fast emerging global scenario in this Electronic System Engineering  field and also the quality of the education. I think pursuing this degree from
CANADA will help me in the industry and bring me back to my country where I can
work for better automation and instrumentation facilities to improve the
infrastructure and communication.

 

 

 As a student my experience say that  good facilities can make a difference in a
student’s life and learning exposure. I
believe that I have the ability and determination to trend on this exciting
path of graduation .I hope you
will give me a fair chance to pursue my Master’s Degree in your leading
